Hi - a very useful data tidying option available in Microsoft Excel is the 'Remove Duplicates' function. This function can be found under the 'DATA' tab and is extremely useful for generating a quick list of unique values or lists of combinations in large tables of data.
The example below shows how, if you highlight the entire range of data, you can quickly identify a unique list. Obviously this becomes very powerful when you have thousands of rows of data. Please be aware that by clicking on the 'OK' button it will change the raw data. Therefore copy the data first to find the required unique items!
